An analysis of the statement issued by the Future of Kurdistan Movement concerning the conference of the Arab Social Democratic Alliance held in Sulaymaniyah.

The Future of Kurdistan Movement, as a new movement in Eastern Kurdistan, was formally invited to the conference. What is noteworthy is that this movement did not participate, nor did it apologize or provide a reason for not attending. The Future of Kurdistan Movement issued a statement in which it described that conference as a mockery of socialist democratic ideology and an insult to the Kurds.

This was surprising because, like most new parties, they usually seize opportunities and quickly align with the demands of other parties in the region! What the Future of Kurdistan Movement did was the opposite of everything. In my belief, the Future of Kurdistan Movement was able to say to the sides, 'No, we are not what you expect.' That is, the message of the Future of Kurdistan Movement to that alliance was that the Future of Kurdistan Movement cannot and will not be subjugated or controlled; they cannot be broken or forced into a camp like the Democratic Party, the Komala Party, and other parties.

In my belief, the Future of Kurdistan Movement will, in the short term, harm its own interests. But in the long term, the gains will be greater than the losses.

In the statement of the Future of Kurdistan Movement, it is stated: "A ridiculous meeting was held under the name of the Conference of the Arab Social Democratic Alliance in Sulaymaniyah. As they themselves say, several panels, topics, and women's issues were discussed. For us, as a political movement in Eastern Kurdistan, this has no political or global value. This alliance, in which several Arab countries are members, is specifically for those Arab countries that are independent and have their own state."

Here we stop. They describe the meeting as something ridiculous and say that from the perspective of the Future of Kurdistan Movement, it has no political value for us Kurds in Eastern Kurdistan.  Also, the statement mentions that Palestine has been admitted as a member state, as a state in that alliance which they call (Arab Cooperation).  Furthermore, in the statement of the Future of Kurdistan Movement, it is stated:  This alliance was not prepared to recognize the independence of Kurdistan, and its charter states that they protect the unity of Iraq.

In its statement, the Future of Kurdistan Movement criticizes that Kurds came to the city of Sulaymaniyah and recognized the state of Palestine, but they are not prepared to discuss independence for the Kurds.

The Future of Kurdistan Movement directly labels participation in such conferences as being against the rightful cause of the Kurds!

Also, the Future of Kurdistan Movement criticizes not only not participating in the meeting but also criticizes the participants. "We understand that the Union, as the ruling party in the south of Kurdistan, implements whichever agenda of whichever side in the region.  But what is astonishing and questionable is what interest the Democratic Party and Pêşmerge have in that alliance."

In conclusion, the statement of the Future of Kurdistan Movement was valuable, to directly tell the south of Kurdistan, 'No, we will not participate in your political games!'
