Arab Cooperation and the Issue of Kurdistan's Independence

In the past few days, a farcical and ridiculous meeting was held under the name of the Conference of the Social Democratic Alliance of Arab Countries in Sulaymaniyah. As they claim, several panels, topics, and women's issues were discussed. For us, as a political movement in East Kurdistan, this has no political or international value. This alliance, in which several Arab countries are members, is specifically for those Arab countries that are independent and have a state. On the agenda of this alliance, Palestine has been accepted as a member state and is referred to as a state within this alliance, which they call (Arab Cooperation). What is noteworthy is that on the day the conference was held in Sulaymaniyah, this alliance was not prepared to recognize the independence of Kurdistan, and its charter states that it protects the territorial integrity of its Arab member states. The alliance has no global weight or significance, and in reality, it is not so much a political cooperation as it is a cultural and Arab-interest-seeking entity with no connection to the Kurdish community. It is astonishing that Kurdish parties participate in such a conference that is openly and explicitly against the just cause of the Kurds.
While two occupying states that are members of this alliance (Iraq and Syria) are occupiers of the land of Kurdistan. What is concerning is how parties like the Democratic Party, the PUK, and the Union are members of an organization that is against the Kurdish issue and protects the territorial integrity

of those states that have occupied Kurdistan. We, in the Kurdistan Future Movement, question the participation of these traditional Kurdish parties, asking for what purpose and whose interests they participate in such a conference that is against the interests and cause of the Kurds in all four parts of Kurdistan. Meanwhile, this cooperation under the name of the Alliance of Social Democrats of Arab Countries does not even mention in a single line the occupation and the just cause of the Kurdish people in the agenda of their activities, and they have indicated that this alliance is specific to the community of Arab countries. At the same time, besides the conference having no global, regional, or even local political importance, the election of Bafel Jalal Talabani as the head of this alliance at a time when the situation in the region in general and the world is facing the possibility of change and war and conflict is suspicious and has clear indications behind its intricacies. We understand that the Union, as the ruling party of South Kurdistan, is implementing the agenda of which front in the region.
But what is astonishing and bewildering is what interest the Democratic Party and the PUK have in linking themselves to this alliance.
